Women In Need Society (WINS) is a charitable not-for-profit organization in Calgary. Established in 1992, WINS’ mission is to help women help themselves through innovative and effective programs and services.
WINS works with women in low-income situations. This includes:
- women coming out of shelters
- single mothers and their children
- women in transition
- new Canadians
WINS goal is that women have the resources, knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve self-sufficiency.
At WINS we understand that to develop human potential to its fullest we must do more than simply provide for the basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Our approach is to work step by step to help women help themselves.
