Donations of Goods
WINS Thrift Stores are currently accepting donations of gently used items in good condition. (no stains, rips, tears, missing or broken pieces, and pet hair free).
If you are unable to drop off your donation at a WINS Thrift Store during store hours, a free pick-up service operates Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note that pick-up drivers have been trained to decline items that do not meet WINS criteria.
For all pick-up requests, we ask that you have a minimum of 10 large bags or boxes of goods. Please DO NOT drop off donations after hours, for health and safety reasons we are unable to use them.

Please note that emails will be answered in the order that they were received. We are currently booking pick-ups 1-3 weeks in advance.
Donations are accepted at the stores Monday through Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or until the store reaches maximum capacity. Please call ahead during our busy season (May to September) to ensure there is room at the store for all your donations.
We are looking for the following items:
Clothing, Footwear, & Accessories
- All women’s, men’s, children’s, & baby’s clothing – in season, clean and in good condition
- Shoes, boots, & sandals
- Belts, purses/bags, gloves
- Jewellery
Items for Children
- Baby strollers, cribs, and high chairs that are less than two years old only
- Toys – clean & gently used or new
Household Items
- Bedding, towels, curtains & rods
- Dishes, pots, pans, & cooking utensils
- Small Appliances - coffee pots, toasters, microwaves
- Lamps, fans, humidifiers, wall clocks, vanity mirrors
- Bathroom items – shower curtains, soap holder, garbage basket, towel holder
- Knick knacks, decorations, & pictures
- In season decorations (Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc)
Furniture (at Dover location only)
- Mattresses & box-springs, headboards, footboards & rails
- Kitchen tables with chairs, dining room sets
- Bedroom furniture – dressers, night tables
- Couches, loveseats, chairs & ottomans, coffee/end tables, lamps, small entertainment units & bookshelves
- Office furniture – filing cabinets, office chairs, desks
- Antique furniture
Miscellaneous
- Books, gaming systems – excludes textbooks, encyclopedias, and magazines
- CDs, DVDs, VHS movies & music
- Electronic equipment - Stereos, TVs, phones, cell phones, fax machines

Seasonal Items
- Fall & Winter (September - February): shovels, skis, snow-boards, toboggans
- Spring & Summer (March - August): garden tools, camping equipment.
- (Dover Store Only) patio furniture, bicycles, outdoor play-sets, sandboxes, & small swimming pools.
Unfortunately, WINS Thrift Stores cannot accept the following items for health, safety or resale reasons:

Large appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, freezers, & dishwashers)
- Hide-a-beds, waterbeds
- Mattresses and box springs that are stained/torn/ripped
- Gas or propane powered barbeques, trimmers, lawn mowers or snow blowers
- Unpackaged baby bottles or nipples
- Cribs and high chairs older than two years
- Baby swings, gates, walkers, or car seats
- Encyclopedias, textbooks, or magazines
- Hazardous goods (paint, aerosols, and chemicals). For locations to discard these items please call 311.
- Large auto parts or tires
- Ammunition, guns, and knives
- Opened toiletries (shampoo, lotions, etc)
- Custom cut blinds
- Console televisions and stereos
- Electrical or plumbing fixtures (hood fans, ceiling fans, pipes, etc)
These items are only accepted by being dropped off at our Dover location only.
- Oversized desks (weighing 100lbs or more)
- Oversized wall units (weighing more than 100lbs & exceeding 5 ft high x 4 ft wide)
